WoW!!!!!!!!!!

Did you guys know that China is one of the most polluted countries in the world. Well it is, although they are a very polluted city, they are not unaware of the ill effects to the excessive use of fossil fuels. China is making rapid strides towards clean energy and investing considerable time and talent in new researches regarding green energy.

Mayb????? we as America should follow suit.

Dude, ohhh my goodness I am so tired of reading information... Well, let me telll the whole story, in my class we are doing a project about debate, so we have to write cases and stuff... Its fun to debate, but I have to say that the work tat it takes is really draining.

On a brighter note, from my reading it seems that scientists are really making strides to make our country a better place.

Hello people!!!!! Today I read an article in a hip - hop magazine that eports that Cleveland, the African American man in Family Guy, is going to get his own show about his family. This is hapening because the NAACP is saying that there are not enough African Americans in the t.v today.

Also I read an article about the recently elected President Barack Obama yahhhh!!! It talked about how he came form nearly nothing, and worked hard to get into Havard Law School, and get to where he is now. It made me think, as an African American teenager, that I can be anything that I want to be. Although I have heard it many times from my parents and relatives, sometimes it takes something monumental to happen to really believe it, and think Yes I Can =).

"But it was sad that the employers owned the gracious house, the swimming pool, three cars, and numberless palm trees, but had no joy." - Maya Angleou

This stuck out to me because the media makes us believe that money and power should be our ultimate goals in life, but in this quote, it has illustrated that that i not not true and should not be our main focus, cause money and power are nothing if we are not happy. numberless palm trees, but had no joy."

heeey everybody

Hey guys, Edward i just started new moon, and the beginning is so sad, I mean Edward left her, and she like fell into a really deep depression... It made me so sad, while I was reading, it was krazy... But I did like that the author/Bella had some really deep thoughts, and dreams which seemed like perfect because in class we had been talking about death and it seemed like she was saying all the stuff that I was thinking, but in a different context. I mean when we specifically were talking about religion it kind of made me question my beliefs, but when i read it really made me think. So I guess that is a good thing.

This week I FINISHED TWILIGHT, YAAAAAHHHHHH..... It was so good, and I cant wait to get the next book, which I heard was really good too... Bella almost got turned into a vampire, and she broke her leg and got a whole bunch of bruises... It was so awesome, if you havent read it, you should guy or girl it doesnt matter, it is a great book.

So this week, I kept reading in twilight in which Bella and Edward became official as boyfriend and girlfriend... Also Edward introduced Bella to his family( Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Alice) they all liked him, but two members of Edward's family could not attend because they were still wary of Edward dating a human... Also when they went to visit Edward told her more information about Carlisle, and the rest of his families history.... ALso this week I experienced alotttttttt of drama, which wasnt that fun... I mean on one hand, its fun being the center of attention, but on the other hand all the baggage that comes with it is just unwanted/needed. Thats all for this week..

So this week, I went and bought another copy of the book Twilight, because I couldn't live with myself knowing that I left that book half finished. So since I was already half way through it, I just picked up, where I had left off before... In this week's reading, Edward and Bella went hiking together , and at least I felt that Edward really started to open up to Bella, and kindof let her in on all the reasons why he had tried to stay away from her when she first came to Forks, how he had so wanted to thirst on her, when she passed by him on the first day of school, but refrained becasue he knew it was best for his family. Which was a kind of weird part in the book because in one part he says that his species(vampires) as a whole are a very selfish species, but he also states that he gave up his own selfish desires for the good of his family, which I think is an oxymoron. That was the interesting part of my reading. Tune in for next week's post.

Whats poppin people's, So this week I lost my book (Twilight) :(.... I know its lame huh... But I got another book which I guess is pretty cool... The new was called "It Ain't all for Nuthin" which is about a boy named Lonnie who lives with his Grandma Carrie... The part that stood out to me was in the 1st chapter, when they were praying one night, and Grandma Carrie asked are you praying from your heart or from your memory... Which really made me think because me being a Christian, I sometimes get caught up with everything else I am doing like Sports, or Homework (UHHHH) , and when I am praying, I dont always say it from my heart, but just say one of the prayers that I have memorized over my fourteen years on earth...So thats what I will be workin on this week...

Second Reading Journal

In chapters 8-15, Panchito talks about how he has to juggle high and work. I n chapters 8-9 Panchito talks about how he is excited to go to high school. I had the same jitters about starting high school, but his were excited, and mine were a little more apprehensive. It wasnt that I wasnt excited about starting high school, it was just that I had heard that this school is really different from other schools, so I ( yes me ) was a little dare I say scared. Now I know thats hard to believe, but I was. Then after reading more, I realized that I complain too much, I mean Panchito had to deal with working before and after school, learning how to write English better, and mantaining good grades, and I have to what do my schoolwork and go to a couple of sport's practice's. And I know you guys might be thinking " Tony you are being to hard on yourself, You are BEAUTIFUL". Thanks guys, and I know that looking this good is a fuul time job, but that is still no excuse....

1st reading journal

In chapter 2 the boys reflect on things they have to do now that they are living without their parents including when Francisco reminices about having to eat balongna sandwiches, instead of his mom's homemade taquito's, which i have had personal experience with, because when I went to an overnight summer camp, and I didnt have my mom to wake me up, or do my laundry, or cook.

Heyyyyy Yaaaaa!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody, my name is Tony Anglin, and I am a ninth grader at HTHCV (High Tech High Chula Vista). I am fourteen years old . I enjoy playing paintball, basketball, football, swimming, playing poker, chess, drums, and listening to music. I like all types of music except country. I like bright colors, because I like to standout. I am excited and nervous about starting at high tech high, partly because it is high school, partly because it is a new school, and a new experience.
