"But it was sad that the employers owned the gracious house, the swimming pool, three cars, and numberless palm trees, but had no joy." - Maya Angleou

This stuck out to me because the media makes us believe that money and power should be our ultimate goals in life, but in this quote, it has illustrated that that i not not true and should not be our main focus, cause money and power are nothing if we are not happy. numberless palm trees, but had no joy."

heeey everybody

Hey guys, Edward i just started new moon, and the beginning is so sad, I mean Edward left her, and she like fell into a really deep depression... It made me so sad, while I was reading, it was krazy... But I did like that the author/Bella had some really deep thoughts, and dreams which seemed like perfect because in class we had been talking about death and it seemed like she was saying all the stuff that I was thinking, but in a different context. I mean when we specifically were talking about religion it kind of made me question my beliefs, but when i read it really made me think. So I guess that is a good thing.

Bella almost got turned into a vampire, and she broke her leg and got a whole bunch of bruises... So this week, I kept reading in twilight in which Bella and Edward became official as boyfriend and girlfriend... Also Edward introduced Bella to his family( Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Alice) they all liked him, but two members of Edward's family could not attend because they were still wary of Edward dating a human... Also when they went to visit Edward told her more information about Carlisle, and the rest of his families history.... ALso this week I experienced alotttttttt of drama, which wasnt that fun... I mean on one hand, its fun being the center of attention, but on the other hand all the baggage that comes with it is just unwanted/needed. Thats all for this week..

So this week, I went and bought another copy of the book Twilight, because I couldn't live with myself knowing that I left that book half finished. So since I was already half way through it, I just picked up, where I had left off before... In this week's reading, Edward and Bella went hiking together , and at least I felt that Edward really started to open up to Bella, and kindof let her in on all the reasons why he had tried to stay away from her when she first came to Forks, how he had so wanted to thirst on her, when she passed by him on the first day of school, but refrained becasue he knew it was best for his family. Which was a kind of weird part in the book because in one part he says that his species(vampires) as a whole are a very selfish species, but he also states that he gave up his own selfish desires for the good of his family, which I think is an oxymoron. That was the interesting part of my reading. Tune in for next week's post.
